The Thialf Ice Stadium in Heerenveen is the most important ice rink in the Netherlands. It holds many speed records for sea level ice rinks. In 2016 a major renovation was executed in which also the facade was re-clad. The dynamics of approaching the ice arena have been intensified by showing the icy interior outside on the facade. Flat composite panels cut in the shape of white ice crystals offer that experience.
