With the expansion, the museum will have a special exhibition area, administrative areas, a library and a depot. The visitor enters the museum through the new main entrance in the extension building. The two-storey foyer with a view to the medicinal garden is home to the cash desk and the museum shop. The new special exhibition area is located on the 1st floor. The polygonal roof surfaces mediate between the roof of the old building and the roofs of the neighboring historic buildings. With all its sensibility in handling the building, the building with its warm metal facade and the exposed openings clearly shows its present time of creation and creates a charming juxtaposition of old and new.
