The renewed Maerlant College is located in South Holland, in the historical city of Brielle. Two architecture companies, Blauwhoed and Juli Architects worked on its design and their aim was not only to design the building by themselves, but to also involve the neighbors and other interested parties, such as local enterpreneurs, into the project. Here, the combination of EuraZinc color on an aluminium siding panel ensures that, within the urban development, the building is integrated into the local community on a higher level and that the history of the city of Brielle will not be forgotten.
