The Clarion Hotel The Hub is centrally located in Oslo with close proximity to Oslo S and views of the city and the fjord. The hotel is an entire quarter with a unique combination of architectural heritage and modern architecture.

The combination of reconstruction, renovation and new construction has created an unusually complex project. Towards the Railway Square is the original Hotel Viking, designed by architect Knut Knutsen for the 1952 Winter Olympics. On the opposite side of the quarter is the functionalist icon Gasmann-farm, designed by architect Ole Sverre in 1932.

The new hotel has been developed based on the surrounding building heritage and its prominent location. The facades are made up of inclined aluminum sheets, offset with variation in depth and color. The aluminum is lacquered with a EuraMica PVDF 3L Gold Satin and MetalMax PVDF 3L Aged Dark Brass which, depending on the light and background reflection, give variation in color and intensity.
